Our yard is kind of a mess, but my dh put in such nice gardens in our yard. I will take a picture later!
And we are constructing an etire playground in our backyard and fencing it in. We have the swingset, we're getting some climbers, a picnic table, play house, you name it! I'll take a picture of that in a little while too!

I love that it's there and that it's fenced....and right now, that's about it. We've got a bit of a poison ivy problem back there, so it's not really useable right now.
Next year though - it's going to be amazing!

Our new patio with gazebo. Once the sod gets put in it will be perfect. And of course my pool.
And some times we get cute visitors in the backyard near the stream.

My Hammock....then the birds, rabbits, chipmunks.....and the occasional peacock and Nosey turkey that visit once a year. 
I would freak out, literally have aheart attack if I got unannounced visitors like this...

Our pond with waterfall. I always wanted a water feature in the back yard and my DH built this for me a few months ago. It sounds like a babbling brook.

i love this topic. i hope more people update.
i love my patio furniture from HD. it's an inexpensive set but so nice and comfy, and NO CUSHIONS!! It dries really quick too!!

Next year, we're getting rid of that God-awful deck and putting in a nice patio.
I stayed true to this statement!
I'll take update pics this weekend, the patio area and it's plantings are definitely my favorite now. We planted around the edges - heuchera, hellebores, and three types of ferns.

well, out backyard is still a work in progress and i dont have any recent pics of the patio DH just built with a cute while picket entrance way surrounded by bamboo.... HOWEVER -- this is by far my most favorite feature.... not really in my backyard, but it over looks it!
its our 2nd floor deck on the back of the house

I feel sad without it. 
But we still have our patio and that is it. We still don't have grass because of all this rain. We will try again in the fall.
I did recently plant my succulents into ceramic planters (2). Love them.

We are closing on our house on Monday It's a small yard, but there are no neighbors behind - it's water - which I love, also - there is a screened in porch which I already can't wait to sit in and just stare out at the water!

i love our firepit area-- we've had some great "smores and beer nights" there with friends lately and the stream that is always running and makes the relaxing "babbling brook" sound AND the fact that we have no neighbors behind us
