What is the fashion forward answer to the fanny pack?
I'm planning to do a lot of walking for exercise this spring, and want to be able to carry my phone, wallet and a bottle of water. Is there something better than a fanny pack I can use? Or is there a cute version to buy?

I saw on the Today show the other morning that fanny packs are making a comeback so you might be able to use one and still be with it - I wouldn't but thats just me I would go with a cross body as there are loads of cute ones on the market right now.
Edited - I re-read your post and I see that its for when you are exercising - when I am out walking in the spring time I wear a short sleeved top with a really lightweight vest over it and use the vest pockets to carry cash, phone and keys.

Agree- I got a nice, casual one for a trip I took to Ireland- it was perfect- fit the camera, wallet, etc.

What about one of those really light backpacks...like a nylon Nike on, with just strings as straps...really lightweight

I was also going to suggest a swing pack. I have a Coach one and use it all the time when I travel.

My mom has been trying to bring them back! She still wears them. She can't find them anywhere in stores so she orders them online. I used to be so embarrassed by her fanny packs!

I have a Louis Vuitton one in the monogram canvas that I purchased in 2006 specifically for my trip to europe!! So, if Louis made them they CAN'T be out of style!

I have a LeSportsac one that I got about 10 years ago and can't get rid of. They still sell them too!

I have a lesportsac one. I don't wear it around my waist but over one shoulder like a messenger when I use it.

Yep! I'm crazy about crossbody bags these days! Le Sportac is definitely good for more casual but I love my two from Michael Kors and Banana Republic--they can be used for a walk during the day or at night!
