What helps constipation in toddlers?
THis poor kid....he strains so badly when he needs to poop....and he only goes every few days. He eats TONS of fruit (and not bananas) and veggies..I have been giving him prune juice daily, and now just started on the Goya pear juice too....what else can I do for this poor kid. At this rate he will never be able to potty train bc the pooping is such an issue I feel so bad for him....any ideas other than lots of fruits and juice????

Talk to your pedi. Two of my friends kids had the same problem and they both were put on Miralax. Once they got regular again, their parents cut back on it. If it get's too bad it can cause a tear and DC can become afraid of pooping...My cousins both went through this and they were miserable for years. One is now 25 and the other is 16. The younger one still has problem's going to the bathroom...Good luck...
