What have you learned while TTC?
I learned that saliva can kill sperm
ETA: This does not matter if your DH/SO has a healthy sperm count.
And that sperm can live up to 5 days however are their most effective if they come into contact with the egg within 2 hrs....
Anyone else learn anything??

I learned that plans are just that - PLANS. No matter how much time and effort and research one puts into TTC, it happens when it happens.

sorry to lurk, but i have to dispute the saliva killing sperm, we did oral stuff before BDing and I got preggos on the first try. Just didnt want you to feel like this could ruin your chances

- That it takes more than just BD to make a baby. It takes some serious "planning".
- That every woman is different. There are no rules about who get PG first, age does not matter.

Not to disagree but it does matter for some if you do research the topic..not that anyone who has Oral will not get pregnant but for those with a low sperm count enzymes in saliva it can kill some of the little swimmers. For a normal healthy sperm count it wouldnt matter

Oh my goodness, SO MUCH! I remember back years ago when I had just graduated college and one of my friends was ttc - i could not understand her tears month after month when she got the BFN - i thought, its only been a few months what is the big deal? Same thing when I first came on the boards - I thought - why take hpts so early? why not just wait until missing af?
Lets just say I now understand COMPLETELY
