What happens if you go into labor.....
DS1 was an emergency c-section. Now, with DS2 I'm having a scheduled c-section. I know my ob will do it at 39 weeks, but what happens if I go into labor on my own before? Can I still have a c?

I had a csection with my first. My water broke 3 days before my scheduled csection with my twins and I went right in for a csection. If you're scheduled for one, that's what they'll immediately do if you go into labor naturally.

I never scheded a cs although I was planning for one. I was having twins so we figured I'd go earlier than 38 weeks. I had an ob apt at 36 w and was dialated (felt nothing). They just had me go to the hospital and prepped me for the cs then.

What happens if you go into labor.....
I have went into labor with all of my Csections (they were scheduled but never made it to that date). They would just do your csection unless you want to try a Vbac.

This. I'm scheduled for a c-section at 39w1d but if I go into labor before then, I plan on at least considering the VBAC.

Yes this... I had a myomectomy (fibroid removal) prior to my first, so I had a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks. Having been told they do it at 38 weeks after a myo because they don't want to risk me going into labor, and reading that having a previous myomectomy can lead to your uterus rupturing in labor, I was so freaked out about this. But my OB said that if I went into labor to come right in, don't wait for contractions to be closer or anything. Then I'd have an emergency c-section. Luckily I made it to my date.
