What happens at 16 wk checkup?
Is there only bloodwork, no sono? My drs office said it was a quick appt, just bloodwork, no sono. But now I'm sad I dont get to see the peanut again. Is this normal?

yup, that's normal. your next one should be the 20 week one.
I had sonos at 7 1/2 weeks, 12 weeks and 20 weeks. My doc said I'll probably have a growth sono at around 37 weeks.

At 16 wks my OB listened to the heart with a doppler and that was it. Oh, and of course the urine sample was taken as always - peeing in a cup - fun, fun!

I am going to have a sono at mine. My appt is next week. We will hopefully be confirming the gender at this sono !! I think every office is different.

My office does a 16 week and 20-21 week sono... So I had my 16 week visit, where we had a sono and they did blood work...
I know a lot of other offices do blood work only at 16 weeks and do sono at 20 weeks...

boringness.... pee test, BP, doppler to check heartbeat & any questions you have answered. next sono should be your level II at 20 weeks

I had mine this week and they listened to the baby's heart with the doppler ~ took urine and a finger prick (blood) for spina bifida (if I remember correctly) next sono is at 20 weeks.

Totally normal (unfortunately). At your 20wk you should have a sono done which is the anatomy scan and you can find out the sex of the baby if you want.
