What does/will your daycare cost?
I plan on staying home until the baby is 11 months. After that we will decide if I will take another year (I am an educator) or go back.
I am looking to see what M-F, 7:30-3:30 daycare will cost. I know it varies but maybe I can get an idea. I am located in the Bayside/Whitestone area if that helps (maybe you can recommend a specific place )
Also it is my understanding infant daycare is more expensive, is this true? When do daycares consider the baby a "toddler".
TY for sharing

6weeks- 18months is 1300 a month.
18month-2years is 1192 a month.
Not much of a difference!!
Good luck!

Re: What does/will your daycare cost?
I'm scared to find out. DS#2 was $310/week and that was 4 years ago. A friend of mine is paying $275/week for an infant in Forest Hills. It is in a private home (licensed, etc)
Mine would have been a bit more if I needed to drop off as early as you do. $25ish a week extra?
I'm pretty sure that it goes down at 1 year (which works out for you) and then every year when the ratio of teachers to children goes up.
Also many centers (especially nut free) provide breakfast, snack and lunches in the price after one year.

Re: What does/will your daycare cost?
Our DS went to TT of bayside for 3 years and did really well. We kept him early and late and spent about 1400 most of the time from infant through toddler+. We moved OOS, otherwise we would hve kept him there.

Re: What does/will your daycare cost?
for the poster that asked, i actually posted an ad on craigslist requesting for certain towns. i was looking for either a mom who wanted some extra cash by watching some kids or an in home day care as oppose to a larger day care center. i found those to be cheaper options.

Re: What does/will your daycare cost?
I know some facilities include diapers/wipes/formula for infant, then meals for toddlers - does this apply to any of the prices listed above?
