poll - cost of daycare

i will only need part time day care but i figured i would ask for full-time prices since that's what most mom's use.

if you don't mind, please also let me know (in a post) if prices change based on the child's age - i really appreciate this!! thanks!!!

I pay $307 full time (m-f) extended hours 6:30am - 7:00pm for a 6 month old. Prices do decrease with age.

DD is with a babysitter so I'm pretty sure the price won't go down as she gets older, plus we're not paying her as much as daycare centers in my area charge. But all of the daycares that I looked at had slightly reduced prices for older children.

We have a babysitter who just watches my DD in her home. She has 3 of her own children, 2 of which are in school full time and 1 who is in preschool so is in school part time.

We pay her $50/day. We don't pay her for my planned days off (i'm a teacher) but do pay her if we call in sick due to our own illness.

On a normal week it is $250/week.

I also have to add that we LOVE her. My DD is like a member of her family. She even takes her to mommy & me classes at the library which is walking distance from her house.

We pay $300 for full time day care, I think it gets a little cheaper when she hits 2, not sure.
I am getting a discount because I pay the bill monthly with my credit card, otherwise its a little more

2 days a week I have a babysitter (college student) come to my house

the other 3 days my mom watches them at her house.

I pay both of the m $50 a day. So $250 a week.

I own a NYS Home Family Day Care (currently on extended maternity leave ) and I charge $50 per day for infants under the age of 2 and $40 per day for children over age 2...HTH !

$185 a week for in home care- two providers with 6-8 kids over age 1

Same price no matter what the age

I pay about $190/week. DD is 19 months. I know that infants under 18 months cost more at my daycare, but DD didn't start daycare until 17 months, and they let us pay the 18 month price instead of the more expensive price for just the 1 month.

We use part time care and we pay $40 a day for 12-5.
