What does TTC mean to you?
TTC to me, is more than just having a baby. TTC represents a loving, repectful couple. People who have a relationship filled with love and admiration. Stability. Communication. Two people who are truly in love with each other. I think that the husbands will be great fathers and help change poopy diapers and coach little league. The wives will become mothers and bake cookies. I know that sounds silly and fairytale-ish but that's what I think of. I think of the child growing up. What kind of environment the child will be in. I don't really think about the pregnancy or birth. I mostly think about how much the two people love each other and how that love will be poured onto thier child.
I know it really dosen't make a difference. There are unstable, abusive people having babies all the time. I just wonder if those people ever thought before they got pregnant how unfair it would be to have a child in an environment like that. How it would affect thier child and the person he/she would become?
I hope I didn't offend anyone. I was just sharing my thoughts.
How do you feel? What does TTC mean to you?

To me it means it's a couple trying to conceive a child. It's planned and both parties are on the same page.

I totally agree with you! I can't wait to have a baby and raise him/her to be the best they can be. I have so much love already for our children that arent even conceived yet. It is not fairy tale-ish I dream about it all the time; Im sure all the ladies on here would agree...

Re: What does TTC mean to you?
i'm going to wind up crying...
ttc to me means that dave & i were ready to take that 'next step' together. it meant we were both prepared to commit to each other and our baby for life....that we knew no matter what happened in our lives, that we could get through it and make a happy home for our unborn children.
i think WITHOUT the base of the relationship that we worked 6 years to get...the 6 months that it took us would've felt like EONS....(though at times it did feel like it).
did we go through tough times to get here? HECK YEAH....but did we come out that much closer? heck to the yeah...
do i have a single doubt that we are going to be the best and most caring and loving parents? no.
There was a post on pregnancy today about how everyone has that 'moment of being freaked out, like, OMG - i'm pregnant, i'm going to be someone's mom'.
I have not yet had that moment, nor do i think i will. Being someone's mommy is something I have wanted since i was 15 years old. It just took me this long to find my soulmate...
ETA: just wanted to say there is NOTHING wrong with having that "OMG moment"... don't want to offend anyone.
