What does temperature mean?
This might be a dumb question, but it's my first month of TTC so bare with me .
From my research and reading on the boards, high temps is a sign of pregnancy, right? What about extremely low temps? I took my temp this morning and it was 95.2. Maybe I was just cold?
UPDATE: So, of course, I'm ovulating today...the one time where DH is at a conference in Chicago! We did last night, but I'm not crossing my fingers :). Thanks for your thoughts, ladies!

Re: What does temperature mean?
You probably havent ovulated yet. Before I ovulate, Im normally around 96.7- 97.4... after I ovulate, I shoot up to 98.0- 98.4 and when my temperature starts to come down, I know that AF is coming. If your temperature stays up for more than 16 days normally you would be pregnant.
Good luck!!!

Re: What does temperature mean?
Do you have a chart we can see? Are your temps normally that low? If they are than I wouldn't worry about it. My temps are never lower than 97 degrees so if I were to get a reading like that I would take it again immediately, thinking that something was wrong with the thermometer and I didn't get a true temp.
HTH!

Re: What does temperature mean?
when i first started temping my temp. was really low, like in the 95 degrees, but I realized it was because I was putting the thermometer under my arm instead of mouth. Have you been temping for a while and this is your first low temp. ?

Re: What does temperature mean?
My temps are really low too prior to O. I'm normally in the 96.2 to 97... then after O I'm around 97.6ish to 98.5.... then it shoots back down the day before AF shows up. I was concerned at first too, thinking my temps were way too low- what was wrong- but did some research, and becuase it's a "resting temp" the bbt is your lowest point- so it's OK
