I want to labor a lot at home (I want a natural birth and think this will be easier at home for as long as I can take).
So, at home something comfy...shorts and a tanktop...yoga pants maybe. Whatever I feel comfy in.
Then I guess a hospital gown.

Whatever the hospital gives me to wear. Let their stuff get messy and gross!!
BTW... I had to have a crash c with DS. Was only supposed to be at the hospital to be induced. Nothing happening yet so I had on the gown and my VS bra. WHen things went down I was rushed to the OR and put under.
The nurses came to DH and handed him my bloody bra in a bag. DH tossed it in the trash. THe nurse and my mom asked how come b/c it was a nice bra. He said he had a feeling I would never want to see it and he was RIGHT!

I only ask bc in all the birth videos I have seen in my birthing class, NONE of the women were wearing the hospital gowns - they were all wearing their own stuff. Obviously I know whatever you wear is garbage - that gown i posted is disposable and inexpensive (and I am not buying it - it was a joke).

I know.  I saw one made out of basically paper that is a one time use.
It had just become fun to hi-jack and post absurd alternate possibilities.

I was just thinking about this, I was wearing DH's hoodie and some kind of yoga pants and my Ugg slippers (bad idea) to the hospital, at some pt it all came off except my socks and I was in a hospital gown, but believe me it get so gross and messy that I don't even want to see those clothes again I was ok with it all being thrown out lol.

Never wore the gown- old sweats and an ON tank top. Both of which were thrown out after.

My water didn't break at home.
While at home I wore an old over sized tee and just underwear. When I had contractions I didn't want anything pressing on my tummy/abdomen...so sweat pants were out of the question for me.
On the way to the hospital I put on sweat pants and I changed into a tank top.
In the hospital I wore the hospital gown...and stayed in it until I showered the next morning at like 6am.

I was wearing yoga pants and a tank top. Threw on some flip flops and DH drove as fast as he could to the hospital. I was already 7cm and the last thing on my mind was what I was wearing. They gave me a gown as soon as I got there.  were delivered an hour and a half later! The gown was ruined when I was done with it! I wore my yoga pants home Wed.
