What do you think about using something like this as a diaper bag?
Am I crazy to think this would work? I would get something like this...in Nylon...and put a wipes and diaper case inside. I'm just not big on real diaper bags. Image Attachment(s):

I don't see why not! Whatever works! My SIL doesn't use a "diaper bag". She uses a big tote type bag just like that.

Love love love the bag
BUT
Where would you put the bottles? There are no side pockets? I would be worried that they would spill on the inside.

Re: What do you think about using something like this as a diaper bag?
I like it and I don't use a "diaperbag". I use the LL Bean Boat and Tote in a Med. I had an E put on it so it will be Emmy's some day. I bought some makeup plastic thingtys ya know the ones from Target, to organize the stuff inside and I never ever had a problem.
I will say that I have to have a diaper bag with straps long enough to carry over my shoulder. You may want to consider that. It's hard enough sometimes to carry the baby when they get bigger and having to carry a bag with short straps to gets hard.

This is what my concern would be, a lot of the time I put the bag on the stroller, so with a long strap option that's possible - otherwise you're ALWAYS going to have to carry it.

it would definitly work, but my issue with it would be that I hate hand holding bags. I need a messanger type bag, if that doesn't bother you then go for it

Re: What do you think about using something like this as a diaper bag?
I was thinking of using a tory burch or michael kors bag as a diaper bag as well.
I REFUSE to buy a regular diaper bag. My sister has a 21 month and used a mk tote and was fine

crashing...I agree, those side pockets for the bottles are much needed IMO...I had a bag with out the side pockets and put the bottle in the bag it spilled everywhere...nice bag though!

Love that bag but my first thought was, "the straps aren't long enough" Long straps were really important for me so that I could hang it on my stroller or wear it messanger style to carry numerous items.

Re: What do you think about using something like this as a diaper bag?
I did the same thing. I don't really like any diaper bags out there. So, I use regular bags, and just make sure they are big enough.
As for bottles, and such, when DS was a newborn, I always needed to carry them cold, as I used RTF formula, and now with carrying milk, I have always used a seperate little cooler bag thing, that has an ice pack and just put it right in the tote...works great!
Love the bag...get it!

Re: What do you think about using something like this as a diaper bag?
Definitely...I've never used a traditional diaper bag, and never will. I have 2 kids now, a newborn and a 3 year old and still find my non-traditional leather bag works very well, as does any other bag I choose to use that day. I keep bottles in a "bottle bag" and have never had a problem with leaking.

I refuse to buy a "diaper bag" also lol, I just went shopping with my mom and got a MK tote to use as a diaper bag for LO and matching shoulder bag for me

Re: What do you think about using something like this as a diaper bag?
I didn't want a traditional looking bag either. My mom actually got me the Tory burch diaper that is so hot!!!! I'm going to use it as a pocketbook and a diaper bag. Just an FYI!!! This bag is also nearly impossible to get so if you like it I would jump on it. But I love love the bag you like too. Anything Tory is amazing!!!!
