What do you think about these favors?
So I love to bake and cook and felt really motivated when baby shower planning was under way. Therefore, I insisted that I wanted to make my own cookie favors.
Of course I was kicking myself the past few days because I was so tired and very much less motivated at 34 weeks.
I cried when my first batch came out of the oven in greasy pools. Turns out I had read the ingredients wrong and I had put 2 1/2 POUNDS of butter instead of 2 1/2 cups!!!!!
So DH went to the store and got me more butter and I did it again out of sheer stubbornness. Finally done! check them out!
I gotta say I'm so proud of myself! Not bad for the first time! And they are completely from scratch!

It's the baby brain I tell you  Because i read it over several times because I even thought to myself "WOW, that is a TON of butter!"
Ugh, it was a whole day wasted since the dough has to chill, I had to cut them out and then chill again etc.
I felt so defeated

lol DH and I actually ate some of the mistake ones They actually tasted pretty good after they cooled but sooo rich as you can imagine
