What do you recommend....
I am 11 weeks and my pants aren't tight yet, but I can definitely feel a little difference. I know its a matter of time that they are going to get tighter. Do you recommend getting a belly band or just spend the $$ and get maternity pants????

What do you recommend....
I would def get a belly band, I'm still wearing mine at 23 weeks. I also bought a couple pairs of maternity pants, so I interchange between my regular pants and maternity ones

Try the band first because it's cheap but I know I hated it. I bought low band maternity jeans and had to pin them since I didn't fill them out. I know they make stretch button up maternity jeans but I couldn't find them. They won't work later on though. I ended up moving to maternity around maybe 14 weeks anyway. I wasn't showing but didn't want anything tight on my belly. I'm still wearing those now and the maternity jeans finally get filled out now.

I liked the belly band. I have one pair of demi maternity pants and I wear the belly band with them now.
I was able to wear a few of my non-maternity pants until about 17/18 weeks with the belly band.
I think it was worth the $15 - I got it at Target.

I would try the belly band. I got mine at Target and am still wearing a bunch of my non-maternity pants at 26 weeks

I'd say buy the belly band now b/c if you wait until you need it, it'll be too late.
I only used the belly band for a few weeks on and off before I went to maternity pants (which are much more comfy) but until I had fully purchased a full set of maternity pants, the belly band got me through. Like, I bought work pants first, but used the belly band for the weekends until I found jeans I liked. Plus, I didn't want to invest in shorts or capris so the band got me through the season change.

I was able to use the bellyband with my work pants but it just didn't work for me with jeans and my jeans stopped fitting me pretty early on. I found it easier to just wear maternity pants than trying to make the belly band work.

I am 20 weeks and I still wear my non maternity with the belly band. With my other pregnancies I also used it for a long time and got to still wear my regular pants!

ITA, They are much more comfortable, I'm started my fifth week, this is my 3rd pregnancy and i can already see that I'm going to be in maternity clothes in the next few weeks.

I say get the band. I am 13 weeks and either wear the band or a pair of my favorite regular jeggings that happen to have an elastic waist. When I discovered those fit, they became my favorite.

I wore the belly band for like 3 week with my work pants... it was onyl $16 so I think I got my $$'s worth.
After that i started wearing maternity pants. They are super comfy, don't be afraid of maternity clothes!

I agree try the band. With DS it last a few weeks and it is pretty cheap. Most maternity pants will still be too big on the top.... I can say maternity pants are much more comfy though.

What do you recommend....
def just go for maternity - youll need them eventually and they are SO comfortable!
also i didnt like the way the belly band fit - maternity pants are the way to go

What do you recommend....
i went straight to maternity pants (even though i could def have used the belly band if i wanted). just seemed like a waste of money since i'd need maternity pants eventually anyhow.
word to the wise - get the maternity pants with the full band that goes all the way up to your boobs (almost). I bought a pair that goes half-way (to the belly button, pretty much) and had to stop wearing those pants at one point.
