Re: What do you call your in-laws?
Usually nothing
I just get their attention without using their names. I did that for years!
Now that we have a baby sometimes I'll refer to them as grandma/grandpa
Nothing feels right!!
In cards, I write "Mom" & "Dad" because it's from both me & DH.

Mom and dad. They will never replace my parents but i grew up with my parents calling each others parents mom and dad so it was never something thats awkward for me.
This. I actually had this conversation with my mom before I got married. She and my grandmother werent close at all, BUT she felt it was a matter of respect. This wasnt just some person, this was hte woman who raised her husband. So it was a respect thing.
For me it was a given I would call them mom and dad. However my mom died 4 months after my wedding so it did take awhile until I was comfortable using that word for anyone for a bit. But now its second nature. when I have to refer to them by their first names, I usually stumble and have to think to remember, lol. No one could ever replace my mom or my dad for that matter, my ILs dont try to do that, they are wonderful people who raised a great son.

What do you call your in-laws?
I laughed out loud because when I read your question, my first thought was "What do I call them in person? Or what do I call them behind their backs?" HAHA! That statement pertains solely to MIL. I call MIL and FIL by their first names. I love my FIL and we get along very well -- I would absolutely call him Dad, but because I will never call MIL Mom, I default to first names for both.

What do you call your in-laws?
I call them by their first names.. DH calls my Mom "boo".. It started as a joke bc he has a crush on her and would always call her "my boo" when referring to her, and then it just stuck! He calls my Dad and stepdad by their first names.

What do you call your in-laws?
I call MIL mom, although I cringe inside every time I say it. My mom passed away so I feel funny calling MIL mom. I do it out of respect, and we have a great relationship. My FIL passed away.

What do you call your in-laws?
I call them by there first names. They wanted me to keep calling them Mr. and Mrs. but about a year into my marriage I had DH talk to them about how strange this was--EVERYONE thought it was strange including DH's aunts and uncles.

Nothing lol. I've known them for 12 years and never call them by name. I've always managed to avoid it. We're close but I always feel awkward referring to them by name and I would never refer to them as mom or dad.
DH does the same with my parents. Not sure how we've been able to avoid it all these years. LOL
Ditto. I have known my in-laws for 13 years and have lived with them for almost 4 years.

OMG ditto lol. So awkward. Now that we have kids, sometimes we will refer to them as nana, etc. So funny.
THIS!
The few times I have no choice, I call them by their first name bc I refuse to call them mom/dad. Plus they are divorced and remarried and I call DHs step parents by their first names ( as does DH), so that feels less awkward.

What do you call your in-laws?
First names for everyone on his side. Same for my husband with my side of the fam. Though I call one of his grandmothers "grammy" because that is what everyone calls her.

Re: What do you call your in-laws?
First names for his parents. I call his grandmothers the same thing he does. Now sometimes I refer to his parents as Abu and Zayde because that's what we refer to them as for DS.
He calls my parents by their first names, or now by their 'grandparent' names.

Re: What do you call your in-laws?
mom and dad. a little awkward, but after 12 years I am used to it. I do get out of it most times because of the kids, I can call them Gram and Grandpa, which is better for me.

I call my MIL by her first name, or Grami because that's what the kids call her. DH's dad passed away when he was a kid, but I'm sure I would have called him by his first name as well.

Re: What do you call your in-laws?
When MIL was alive it was Mrs _. She preferred that. I was not close with her but I used to call his Aunt & Uncle by their names so it was Aunt B & Uncle A. FIL passed before I met DH. He calls my Mom by her first name. My Dad also passed before we met.
