I hate going into NYC and having a million people with cameras stopping in traffic taking pics....I mean I dont know about you but I would like to cross before I get killed by a taxi. I guess as long as they get pics of the empire state bldg.
I also hate people who push....is there a reason for this? Ive never seen such rudeness. My husband lived in florida and he says its everywhere.

after driving to ny from middle of nowhere va, traffic and drivers! va drivers can be stupid as anyone, but not once in va has a car tried to merge into the lane where i currently was. It happened today as dh and i crossed over the verazanno. idiot drivers.
oh, and stupid teenagers. after going to the movies tonight, i thank the county i live in in va for having a mandatory curfew

I agree and after living in Ireland for 18 months. I will take the traffic, noise, high prices and everything else that comes along with living in the NYC met area. I love the diversity, the food, the city. Although, I do agree the high cost of housing is frustrating

The only thing that really bugs me about NY is the cost of Real Estate. For what you pay here, you don't get as much Value.
Eta: I love Winter...the snow, hot chocolate, winter clothes, but I do not like the duration of winter. I am from Texas what do you expect. I would be happy with a few months.

I agree. I would add commuting from LIRR to a subway and then walking to an office. Commuting in sleet, rain or snow from LIRR to a subway and then walking to an office. I swear when I did that by the time I sat in my office, I felt like I had worked an entire day! So happy I work from home now.
I kinda like the tourists, whenever they asked me for directions I went out of my way to be nice. I singlehandedly tried to dispel their preconceived notions of New Yorkers. Pollyanna, I know but it made me feel great at the time.
