What do Braxton Hicks feel like?

What do Braxton Hicks feel like?
I get these sudden twinges of pain on my right side, not crampy pains. They are very sporadic and not to consistent. I have an MD appt on Friday, do you think I can wait until then? Or is just gas?

They feel like a tightening, but not a painful tightening. Contractions feel like tightening in the beginning with a hint of soreness, and take your breath away a little.
That's the best I can describe it.
Twinges of pain could be a number of things including ligaments stretching or gas.

BH shouldnt be painful.
