what did I do wrong?
Just curious so I know what to do next month, maybe some of you more experienced can give me advice...
Last month AF was on Aug 14 and I usually have 29-31 day cycles.
Fri- 8/28 BD
Sat- 8/29 got +opk (tested in the morning around 11am, first urination) BD at night
Sun 8/30- still +opk BD at night
Monday 8/31 - took a break (maybe this is why?)
Tues 9/1 - BD at night

you didn't do anything wrong!
you BD at the perfect times.
the only thing i would do differently is use the OPK in the afternoon instead of at night so you don't miss your surge. you might have tested positive the afternoon of the 28th - not that it matters, since you BD then anyway, but just keep that in mine for next time.
sperm can live inside you for a couple of days so not BDing on the 31st probably didn't make a difference. but if it makes you feel better, a lot of women BD 3 days in a row starting with their first +OPK.

you didnt do anything wrong!!
statistically there's only about 20-25% chance of conceiving each cycle even if you do EVERYTHING right.
so good luck and  for next cycle!

Thanks ladies!
I also read that testing the opk in the morning might give u a false positve because some ppl have LH already in their system and some more then others and the morning will show more. I will def.
test in the afternoon this time.

You didn't do anything wrong. Everything has to be perfect, BD right days, fertilization, implantation, and then it has to stick. Any one of these can not happen.
Sometimes it just takes time. Don't worry. Totally normal.

everybody is so right - you did everything right. My only suggestion would be to maybe try preseed if you haven't already.
The cycle before this last one me & dh BD'd on CD12, 14, & 16 (which should have been perfect for my 28 day cycle). That was definitely the week I was Oing so I was very confused when I didn't get pregnant. This next cycle we only BD'd on CD14 and got pregnant. The only difference in those two times was the Preseed which I didn't have until this last cycle. I'm beginning to think that maybe my CM wasn't as thick as it needed to be to actually carry the sperm. Maybe that's why I didn't get pregnant that last time. So I think I needed that preseed to do the job for me. And that's why this time it stuck.
Maybe your body is the same way. It couldn't hurt to try

I agree with the PPs. You did everything right. It took me four months to get PG and I BD'd on all of my peak/high days using the fertility monitor. The first three months, nothing.
But the ONE thing I did differently is drink lots of green tea (supposedly increasing CM). I heard that even if you do everything "right", it does not work. And it can be extremely frustrating!!

ITA with the previous posters! You did NOTHING wrong. You definitely BD'd at the right times and in fact, it's better to have the sperm there already waiting for your egg to release so not BDing that extra day likely did not make a negative difference.
I agree about checking your CM and possibly trying Robitussin or Mucinex to help thin it out and be more hospitable to sperm. Good luck next month!

I ordered mine from BabyHopes.com and it arrived in just a couple days.
Good luck in this next cycle!! I think the preseed will definitely help.
