Depends on your cycle length. For a normal 28 day cycle you could start day 10. I don't know why, but I remember day 8 being pretty popular for those regular janes out there. I have irregular cycles between 29-42 days. 35 days is average. I used to start testing on day 15.

I started on Day 10 because my cycle can vary at times. I can O from CD13 - CD22. So CD10 was the best bet.
I was using the Smileys but that got expensive. SO I bought the Wondfo Cheapies online and once those started to look very close to positive, I would switch to Smiley to confirm surge.
But after years of this, I am able to read the Cheapie Wondfo OPKs just fine.

I start at around day 14 because I know I ovulate later, and have a 30 to 31 day cycle. At first I started at day 11, and soon realized I'm around the day 16 mark.
