what could it be?

Goopy eyes that aren't red, swollen cheeks and runny nose. Going to the Dr's first thing in the morning and hoping its not pink eye. We have 40 people coming to my.house on Christmas. Daycare wasn't sure what it is either. Just starTed this morning. No allergies we know of and she's only 19 months so she cant tell us how she feels.

Sinus infection?

I know my ped has said an infection of the nasal passages, ears, etc can spread to the eyes and, in effect, become conjunctivitis (and be contagious) even if eyes aren't red.

But if it is, it usually clears up quickly once you start treatment. So you would probably be fine (in terms of being contagious) by Christmas.

Sinuses can drain from your eyes as well as your nose, so it could be sinus infection, ear infection, anything to do with congestion.

Pink eye will generally present as very red eyes with the gunk.

It's double pink eye. She's home with drops. Dr said by tomorrow she should be fine. Woke up this morning with her eyes crusted shut.
