what computer do you have?

We just bought an apple. If you have one, do you like it? Can anyone tell me why/why not? It's hard to get used to after always using a Dell.

If you don;t mind replying with a response- I'd appreciate it!

I jsut got an iMac right before Christmas and I LOVE it!!

We have a Mac notebook which I use for school. It is so lightweight compared to our regular notebooks.

My desktop is a hybrid monster, lol. The screen is a 20 inch Dell flat panel which can also be used as a TV. The tower is a Sony Vaio with some crazy graphics card, 2 CD slots, multiple picture card slots for every shape and size, 4 USB ports and lawd knows what else it does.

that's the one I have... was it hard to get used to using it? I miss publisher.

I like Windows . It would just be too much effort to use a Mac with some of the programs I need. My SIL has an IBook and I use it sometimes. It's nice but i'll stick with my laptop.

DH has the new imac and I have the ibook (laptop). We love apple!

i have only owned HP, i actually just got a new HP laptop. DH has owned two Dell computers and he HATES them! eventually we will get him an apple laptop when we can afford it.

I heard Apples are nicer to use- more user friendly- better in general.
But I am bad with change and after using Windows all my life I think I'd freak out having to switch.
But i HEART the new MacBook Air- SO THIN!!!

It's been only 2 days since we switched and I haven't had much time on it yet. I do love the keyboard! so smooth! I need time to play and get used to things. thanks!

we have all dells too.
we have 4 yrs or older desktops-one for each child & mine and DH's laptop
never had any problems.

I have a Mac PowerBook for work. I really like it and when I replace my desktop at home I will be getting a Mac. I am NOT a fan of Vista at all, just find all the security questions really annoying.

It took a little time to get used to the differences in the keys/shortcuts and applications. Now whenever I use a PC, I forget how to do stuff.

I have a powerbook. It's about 3 years old..

I was SO used to PC, it took me a little while to get used to a mac... Because I still work on a PC, I can't say I'm an expert on a Mac, but I absolutely LOVE IT.

There are so many neat little shortcuts to use like hot corners and expose.

Fun little extras:

Itunes is very user friendly, and I really like Iphoto...

IMovie RULES... I just started playing around with it... very easy click and drag editing program.

In the 3 years I've owned it, it has NEVE slowed down and I never felt I had to clean it out due to viruses; too many programs.

It takes some time if you're very used to a PC, but it really is worth it.

I LOVE Apple.

I grew up with Apples, our first family computer was an Apple IIe, I used them through college (at that time I had a G4 powerbook). I work in engineering now and only use PCs at work, I have gotten so accostumed to the PC interface that I am clumbsy on a Mac now.

I used to be a huge apple supporter and would use nothing but, now I have switched to PC because in the long run it is cheaper, the parts, periferals, availabilty of software etc. and performance wise they are comparable. I do primarily graphics which was always and Apple thing, now either platform will run the software well and there is still some annimation and modeling software that isn't written for Mac at all. I know the new dual platform is supposed to be seamless and much better than it previously was on Mac, but I have not tried it out myself.

I have a MacBook Pro and love it. No issues with virus, popups. It always works great. I have Office for Mac so I go open work documents and so forth when I'm home. I have two Dell laptops for work, they are fine but I love my apple.

We have a Dell and a Compaq. I don't like macs and can't/won't get used to using a one click mouse or the operating system.
