What Cable, Phone, & Internet Use?

Ok what service does everyone use. I feel like I pay way too much for my cable, phone and internet from Cablevision. I was looking at shopping around but its seems like they are all the same price once you add up all the services.

We have DishNetwork for TV, and FiOS for phone and Internet. We have no desire to leave DishNetwork yet, so that's why we're keeping them, and not doing all 3 with FiOS. Plus, if the FiOS line goes down for any reason, we at least have one of the 3 connections still working. I'm not a huge fan of having all my eggs in one basket....

We use Cablevision for all three.

My IL's use Verizon for phone, Cablevision for TV and Internet since FIOS isn't avail.

DH's uncle has a satellite with the dish - but when there is bad weather down here, he doesn't get reception.

We have all three with Time Warner. Eh. For all three, it's almost $140 a month.

I'll start to look at all those options.

I agress I don't like all my eggs in one basket. And every year my bill goes up. I am very annoyed with cablevision.

we have cablevision for tv and FIOS for internet. We don't have a phone, we use our cell phones instead of having an extra bill.
Once FIOS tv is available in our area, we will switch.

We've got direct tv, and time warner for phone and internet. When FIOS comes here for internet we will probably switch over. Our cell phones are with Verizon.

Extended Cable (no premium channels like HBO, Showtime, but I have Animal planet, Discovery, HDNet, etc) Also got the sports package so I have NFLChannel (love) and with an upgrade for DVR and Upgrade on Internet speed (faster service) we pay $120 monthly.


LOOOOOOOOVE it! I love me my fiberoptic service.




ETA: I was against this to start. We had Fios Internet first and that was my hubby’s choice. Then one day he’s talking about changing our TV service. Just talking, until he tells me the installation was scheduled. I was not happy, for me it was all about the bottom line, it had to be cheaper. I now LOVE the service and quality, number of channels, Internet speed, phone service. I had to admit to my hubby I was wrong!

I wanted to add that I love, love, love the service I get from Verizon (troubleshooting). We had a tree that tied up a line and one day I walked outside for work and our Fios Internet line was hanging from the wall. Hubby made the call after his shower and it was fixed before we got home from work. The next time was a tree branch that knocked out our power and all lines. They were great. Came out as quick as possible and had it fixed in no time.

The installation guy was patient and ON TIME! He stayed for hours making sure we were both happy with the reception and all the features we wanted. He walked us through it all. The invoice had the not indicated we wanted a DVR and he didn’t have a box, so he called his boss to drop one off, but he stayed. He called ahead to his next appointment and apologized and sent a replacement person, but he stayed with us until we were done. Honestly, that went a long way with me as I was still unconvinced at the time.

The automatic updates to the service on the box are always done overnight like predawn and never bother my schedule. They provide warnings in writing a month before any changes and especially if there’s a chance we’ll lose our recorded shows. They gave us instructions on how to save them from being deleted accidentally.

Internet and Phone have never failed us and the TV is fantastic. I have no issue with losing any one line because they’ve been so good at repairs and I have my cell phone if the phone is ever out (which only happened during the power outage – cordless phone won’t work no matter what provider you have if it has no electricity).

We have FIOS for everything: we just switched. I have all the TV channels except the spanish channels and adult chanels. We have 2 boxes, 1 of which is a DVR. For all 3 services I'm paying $166 a month. I was paying $155/mo with cable for internet and TV only (no dvr) plus $60 a month for my telephone with verizon. I am very happy with FIOS!

We have satellite (DirectTV) for our TV, FIOS for internet & phone.

we have FIOS for all three and couldn't be happier. The service is great and customer service is top notch. We pay $200 for all three, but we have just about every single add on there is, including a multi-room DVR, which is $20 by itself (but SO worth it!) We had half as much w/cable and as we were nearing the end of our triple play promo (and it wasn't even up yet!) the price was the same.

We use cablevision for all three because my husband works there and we get it for free but before that we also used them. My sister has satellite tv and every time it rains she has problems.

Time warner triple play , cable, phone and wireless network . The phone is a flat rate free long distance

We have Cablevision, for phone, internet and TV, I never have had any problems with them.

The only way you can get it cheaper for an indtroductory offer is if you cancel your account and get a new account with a new phone number. THen you can get basic cable, internet and phone for 100 a month for a year, but the price does go up after that year.

We have the highest cable package, plus some on demand options as well, so our bill is around 250 i think a month

We have Verizon FIOS for all three. Before that we had Directv, Verizon land line and Optonline (Cablevision).
