What area do you live and what activities do you do?
Just curious....and how do you make new mom friends?
For us, I have made a ton of friends in our classes and meetup.com. We are in the Huntington area.
We do music, mommy and me classes, gym classes and the summer we did swim. We also do our library programs when they are offered.

What area do you live and what activities do you do?
I live in Farmingdale and we don't do activities. He is in daycare 10 hrs a day so time out of there is just for family.
I don't make new mommy friends. I barely have time for the family and friends I have now.

What area do you live and what activities do you do?
We live in Commack. Both boys are in daycare the 2 days that I work. We also have done little gym, music together, pro soccer kids, library classes, and Gymboree art classes- not all at one time lol. To be honest I haven't made any friends through classes. I'm not really trying though- I have a good mix of friends- both childless and mom friends- from before I had the kids. I'm not sure if I would feel the same way if I was actively seeking friends, but no one ever looks like they are interested in getting to know anyone else. ??

I work, but I still do tons of activities with DS and make friends.
We live on the east end. We belong to CMEE and the aquarium. We spend too much time at every local playground and library.
He plays soccer and does zumbini through local programs.
I mainly have been introduced to other mom friends in the neighborhood, usually a friend of a friend. Some from his school class, or the library.

Except I live further out in Suffolk.
I work 5 days a week and have no time for activities but she gets PLENTY of activities at daycare for 10 hours a day.
ETA_ we do things on the weekend- as a family.
Beach, playgrounds, carnivals etc
Just nothing "organized" and nowhere where I'd make any friends.
But I'm also very anti social. I try to avoid people

What area do you live and what activities do you do?
I live in eastern Long Island my kids are (12, 6, & 14m) its difficult to find ONE activity for all at once. We like beach playground library chill'n at home events in the community. Me & my oldest will work out @ gym together & I'd take him to sports games/practice. My middle child has several friends she hangs out w & she does dance/gymnastics. My baby & I go to classes @ library walking shopping ect. I have met a couple of really great moms & thats all i need. I get along well w others just dont need to be committed friends w them.
Im also part of my kids school PTO
