What are your cycles like?
So I have been charting since I went off BCP about a year ago. I feel like I have it down when I ovulate each month which doesn't fluctuate that much. However I am getting frustrated by the fact that one month is 28 days long, another is 34 days long then back to 29 days long and then back up again. Could this mean my LP is also fluctuating? I read In TCOYF that the LP doesn't change by more than a day or two. I don't find any connections with stress, or other factors. How many of your cycles are like this?

As regular as I am my cycles do fluctuate just like that. I think that one ovary releases an egg a day or two later than the other one.... Who knows. If you can tell by the signs of when you O then that's all that really matters.

That's interesting about one ovary releasing the egg a day or two later than the other. I never thought of that...I think I will look for some info on it. Thanks for the idea!

my cycles are almost always every 28 days, although every once in a while i'll have a couple months in a row with 27 day cycles.
your LP shouldn't change by more than a day or two, but your FP can vary quite a bit, making your cycle shorter or longer...

Your cycles should be roughly the same each month within 1-2 days. Talk to your Dr about it.

My last few cycles were 35, 27, 39, and 22 days in that order.
It's very frustrating. My doctor says my hormones are slightly off and that's what's causing it.
She wants to see if I O this month, so I have to use OPK's from CD10 until I see a surge.
I would go to the doctor and get your hormone levels checked. It's a problem that can easily be fixed.
PS My LP phase was always the same.

I have been off BCP for 2 1/2 years and it took over a year for my cycles to finally regulate. For the past 6 months they have been 31-33 days, with one long cycle which I think I ovulated late due to stress. It's normal to fluctuate up to a couple of days in either direction, but your LP will always be the same so just try to figure out when you are ovulating.
