What are you getting your mother/MIL for the Holidays??
I post here the most so felt most comfortable asking here, hope you don't mind!!
I am very stuck this year for my mom. She is not a massage/nails type person...she loves crafts but I have bought so many decorative things throughout the years...
Any ideas? I need some originality this year!!

Mom- handed down a diamond into a setting for her plus some small stuff like clothes.
She takes care of my DD 5 days a wk for no Fee!! Least I could do.
MIL- Shirts, sweaters, Calender made on Snapfish which has pics of DD on each month

My mom loves gardening, and had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome surgery on both wrists not too long ago. I bought her ergonomic gardening tools. It may not be an "oooohhh, ahhhh" kind of gift, but it's very practical, and I know she'll enjoy them and use them a lot.
I'm a guy, so I go for the practical type gifts....

My MIL has passed away  , but for my Mom, we got her:
* New Paula Deen Cookbook (her favorite chef)
* Shirts she wanted from Target
* Mosaic Candle Diffuser I bought at a Home and Garden Party
* Battery Operated votive candles (she requested)
* Calendar with the kids' pics
* Homemade, handpainted family tree project from my older son.
* Monogrammed hand towels to match her new bathroom.

I got MIL a framed picture of her mother, her son (DH) and her granddaughter (DD). I also got her a really expensive "mothers" necklace from lifetimemothers.com...it will have all 3 of her kids birthstones plus her granddaughters birthstone.

I got MIL a pair of short Uggs and a set of three birch animal ornaments from Crate and Barrel (they go with her decor).
My stepmom is getting a stovetop cappuccino maker.
My mom asked for a zip-up sweatshirt coat.  I'm giving her velour pants, a tank and a sherpa sweater from Gap Body. I think I will also get her the addison bowls from C&B and treat her to mani/pedi while I'm visiting.

a fax machine and for my MIL since she owns her own business and her fax machine broke and for my mom we will get her a gift card for her nails and a gift card to her fave restaurant in Floral Park.

This year we are getting my mom and MIL the same thing..
A photo printer for their digital cameras.
They have been taking so many pictures of our DS that I want them to be able to make pictures whenever they need to at home!

I'm not done shopping for my mom yet and we are giving my MIL money. She has a small apartment so she really has no room for anything and she's got lots of jewelry. Besides she always prefers money and that makes things easier for us...
