What are those trees....
They are in bloom right now - they have purple blossoms on them and no real green leaves just yet.... they almost look like forsythia bushes, but really tall (and purple, not yellow  )....

lilacs are in bloom down here in the DC area already but not sure if they are/would be up in NY. But the blooms are thick clumps, not whispy lines like forsythia.

Or is it a Kwanzan Cherry Tree maybe?
They look kind of similar in the photos, although the Cherry has leaves, they're just hard to see through the blooms.
