What after school/weekend activities does your pre-ker do?

I'm pretty sure my ds is bored. He is in school 5x wk half days. His grandparents watch him and my dd. I'm looking to put him in some type of activity. Sport or non sport just something 1x a week. Thanks!

Re: What after school/weekend activities does your pre-ker do?

My older son was starting hockey at that age (b/c he begged and pleaded with us, it wasn't our idea Chat Icon ) My younger son, now in PreK played spring and fall Tball.
He's in all day (7 am - 6 pm) PreK/Daycare 3x a week.
On the weekends I'll send a group text and meet whomever is around at the park for an hour or 2 if we don't have plans. I don't like to be overbooked with "HAVE TO" activities all weekend, every weekend.

In the winter we don't have much planned. I'm going to look into getting him on the ice to learn to skate - and then probably soccer in the spring - He enjoys being part of a team and seeing his friends outside of school

What after school/weekend activities does your pre-ker do?

Dd is in prek 4 full days a week and goes to dance 1 night a week for 2 hrs (she takes two classes). I think that is enough at her age. She still gets tired and cranky

Re: What after school/weekend activities does your pre-ker do?

My DS is in daycare 3 days a week (he's 4, so it's his "pre-k" year). He does gymnastics 1x a week for an hour and swimming 1x a week for a half hour. I'd like to put him in soccer or baseball in the spring depending on which one he is interested in, but then we'd stop swimming for a while b/c I think 3 activities is too many for him and my wallet.

My DD does dance once a week in the afternoon (for the full year). I'm going to add swimming into the mix once a week in the spring.

my DS just turned 5. He goes to preschool 4 AMs a week ( like 9-12) i'm a SAHM. he does soccer on saturday AMs through our town, and swimming lessons on tuesdays through a company. the swim lessons are AWESOME for this age!! not only does he love it, its a great energy burner for him--- AND i feel like its a safety thing, too- they actually practice what he should do if he ever gets in trouble while he's swimming. we also do the library story time, too....

DD is 4 yrs old and in Pre-K 3 days a week (just 3 hrs a day). She's rarely bored since I also babysit a few kids and she loves playing, doing art projects, and heading to the park with them when she's home. But I also do have her in dance once a week. She used to do gymnastics and next year I'd like her to try karate, then start learning an instrument and maybe a sport if she's interested.

At that age I signed DS up fir activities offered through our rec department. I tried to just do one activity a season. He did soccer, swimming, and fantastic fitness.

My 4yo DS does 1 activity at a time. He just finished soccer. He had swimming before.

6yo did soccer and science when he was in pre-K.

What kind of science? How offers something like this? My ds would totally like that.

We do group lessons at the y. It's the most cost effective and he really enjoys it.

DS is turning 4 and in pre-k. He just finished soccer, is doing swim class (30 min on the weekend) and may go back to gymnastics (45 min on the weekend) after the holidays.
