Umm..if you DO read on in the 2nd case, it gets better. The baby is the child of an autistic 16 year old she seduced.

I feel the same. :(
It's very numbing hearing about all these stories of child abuse. Makes you support the death penalty and forced sterilization of these monsters.

For me it makes me sad and angry, but I always feel like there is something deeply wrong with these people. No one just wakes up one morning and decides to do this. there has to be something very wrong with you for you to even consider it.

Am I surprised? Not really. At my job I see horrible, wretched parents every single day, and the poor poor children that have been abused, neglected and abandoned by the scum of society. It absolutely horrifying what some people do their children.

"We now have multiple generations without a moral compass thanks to the liberal "anythings goes" no judgements allowed culture. Tragic for children."

I think it's a viscious cycle. Those who abuse were probably abused in the past. Maybe making punishment more severe and more public will make these individuals think twice about doing what they're doing... too many do it because they think they can get away with it or they don't know better.

Awful and sick.
I wonder if these psychopaths got the idea from that atrocious horror movie flick "A Serbian Film" (I think its banned in some countries because of its violent nature) which purportedly contains a scene where the main character (a porn star) rapes a newborn baby (and graphically filmed).

I am not surprised by either story. I have read and seen too much in the last few years of stories filled with this kind of stuff.
I pretty much avoid a lot of news stories now...DH was reading a story to me last night about a 6 year old boy who died after being neglected and abused for years by his biological parents. He was 29 pounds when he died. I was sick hearing about it.
I just pray that these poor children who have to go through these things end up at peace and that their so called "parents" end up suffering horribly. That has to be the only justice
OMG that broke my heart I can hardly handle the 2 I have on my own some days & still to save that little angel from that I'd take him in a heartbeat.
These 2 articles made my sick. The second made me cry. It's just beyond me HOW anyone could harm their child.

Why was the abuser given this sentence..."Kyle was sentenced to 37-and-a-half years in prison in March after pleading guilty of abusing the infant during several occasions in 2009, according to St Louis Today."
Why was he not also given life sentences? It's horrific to think that this man will possibly walk the streets again. This is such as clear example of the sexism found in our country's penal system.

1st one, not so shocking, just some really effed up people in this world
The 2nd one is horrific...I saw a similar story like this on America's most wanted. Mom was in jail, baby and toddler (both girls) were being pimped out by their daddy...when mom got out of jail, she wanted in too (make money off of them)....YEP. HORRIFIC.
These people are why I am PARANOID about who is near my kid(s).  And a perfect example of why I am FOR the death penalty.

Word. This is why no one's allowed to talk to me about "God" in respect to IF.
