If your child goes here can you please share your experience with this practice. How are the drs, nurses, office staff? Is it easy to get a sick apt? Any other info will be super helpful

We have been using West Sayville for 3.5 years now and I have nothing negative to say at all. One of the doctors who I loved just recently left so we were concerned about how the new one would be, but so far so good. I have brought my newborn to see her 3 times so far and she seems to know her stuff, I like her. Her name is Dr. Nancy (last name starts with a U, I can barely pronounce it so won't even try spelling it lol. The nurse practitioner's name is Theresa, who we also really like. She is really good with my older son, very patient and always interacts and talks with him not just us, the adults in the room. Dr. Kalansky is the other doctor. She is very nice but very quiet, I feel like I have to drag information out of her. When my 3.5 year old was born she was the one who came to the hospital daily to check on him, and like I said while she is very nice, she is just a little too quiet and passive for me. I have never had trouble getting them in for a sick appt. the same day I called. A few times I have left messages for the doctors and they have promptly called me back even once late at night we had to call the emergency number and one of the doctor's got back to me right away. Nurses and office staff all very nice and friendly, office is a little outdated but clean and kept neat. we have never waited more than 5-10 minutes. If you have any non-pressing questions you can also email them and they will get back to you usually within 24 hours or so, Theresa answers all the emails. The are open half a day on Saturday 9am-12:30pm. They are very efficient and am really happy with them so far. Any more questions feel free to ask.

That's where dr Nancy went! I was so sad when she left Suffolk pediatrics in west Islip now I know where to follow her to!

Eh not super impressed. We left the practice when my daughter was 3.5. Dr. Kalansky was not assertive enough, very wishy-washy. I felt Theresa always rushed us out. And the person who handles the bills, forgot her name. She is a super b!!!!.
