Went to the dr for some answers
Well, I decided to go see the dr after 7 months of ttc with no luck. She made me feel better. She does agree that there is something going on with my hormones and that my periods continue to be irregular after coming off the pill.
She prescribed a SA for my husband to make sure that that is not an issue. She said if he is fine, then we can discuss maybe trying clomid.
I am happy that there is a plan, but also sad that I may need some help. I makes me nervous that I am having trouble ttc on my own.
For those who have used clomid, was it successful? Did you have any major side effects?

Did she draw blood to check your hormone levels? She should do CD3 and CD21 blood draws.
Also, if you DO go on Clomid- I highly recommend seeing an RE so they can monitor you closely, as Clomid can thin your uterine lining and they can also tell you how many/how big the follicles are growing, and possibly tell you when to BD.
I did use Clomid for one cycle- 50mg. The usual doses are 50, 100 and 150mg dosages, most of the time given in different cycles if the lower doses don't work. For me, 50mg didn't do anything whatsoever and I had some pretty awful side effects from it. I was incredibly dizzy and VERY moody. It made me miserable. That was the only Clomid cycle I did before moving to the next step.
That said- everyone has different responses to it and many women have had success and/or little to no side effects. You can post on the IF board for some feedback, as well.
FM me if you have any questions!

if you are put on clomid, i recomend seeing an RE so they can monitor you..

Re: Went to the dr for some answers
I had CD 3 testing done a few months ago, and my cycles have only become more irregular since then. She did say that she would monitor my with sonograms (I think) to see when I am about to O. I just hope I get pg this month and then I wont even have to try Clomid.
