Well THAT was fun......Gavin has been sick all weekend...
He started out with this terrible sound coming from him that I have never heard before at 1:00 AM Saturday morning. I took his temp.....102.8  and I almost threw up...
DH was at work and when he came home he found us in the bathroom performing some ancient sweat ritual  and steaming ourselves out to help DS feel better.......until almost 4AM!
Poor thing had the croup and was such a good little guy, I am so proud of him.
His fever is finally breaking, but he's had it all weekend......I wish I could have taken him outside and to play with his cousin Chris (JenBenmen's son) but he had to stay inside.....
The only silver lining is that we are going away next week so I'm glad he got this now....
ANyone else deal with croup?
Is it a multiple times kinda thing?
Will it come back soon?

I remember my mom telling me that I got the croup ALL the time when I was a toddler....they used to bring me into the bathroom with a hot shower running and let the steam clear me up
Hope he feels better

My son used to get croup so bad when he was a baby. We ended up in the ER several times because it was so bad. They keep telling me he will outgrow it but he is 8 and still gets it sometimes - but not as frequently and not as severe as when he was little.
Watch for your son's ears. I don't know the medical reason, but a lot of times after croup an ear infection will follow.

We just went to the doctor, and he checked his ears, hopefully he'll be OK......
