Well, China was interesting!
We had a great time. We saw a lot of the beautiful sites. Climbed the Great Wall, went to the forbidden city and saw the country side.
They just need to get better bathrooms!!! I was never shocked as the first time i stepped into a stall

OK, I do have to clarify.
Hotel rooms had toilets (thank god)
but the restaurants and public toilets generally had holes. If you were lucky, the handicapped room had a toilet.
And the picture i took was of a very Clean one. you can only imagine!!!!

That last sentence reminded me of the "toilet" at the Jinshanling.

Owwww you must have found those holes in the ground ones....LOL I studied for 6 weeks in china with my law school and I learned quickly to HOLD it unless I could find a real bathroom...

Sorry I thought you knew - I remember reading about them in guide books - I also remember reading to bring your own TP with you when you sightsee - so many people in my group got those travel charmin rolls it was pretty amusing -

You gotta love a squat toilet! I've seen them in Italy and Thailand! I can only use them when I'm in a dress though
