Welcome to crazy town
Full disclosure .. I'm absolutely mortified with myself from my appointment earlier.
Today marks 17wk3d which is the exact point where we lost my first baby. To say I'm beyond shocked.. grateful... relieved.. and absolutely THRILLED to be here right now is just a complete understatement. I wasn't scheduled for a sono today at the OB, but when I went in for my appt I told the receptionist I'd like one and she said she'd speak to the dr but shouldn't be a problem. When she asked if I was feeling ok, I told her my first loss was exactly at this point and I wanted it for the sentimental value and to ease my nerves more than anything else. Well.. she goes and speaks to the doctor who said absolutely not, and that the doppler will have to be enough   ... well I guess I didn't realize till that point how much I really did want that sono, because I started crying in the waiting room  (and I am NOT a crier - at least not in public) I'm not sure what you've heard, but those pregnancy hormones are a real thing!
Well .. I guess tears are powerful because I did end up getting my sono  The baby looked great and the sono tech pointed out how beautifully he's developing. Amazing that this day with my first, I had a hard time grasping the fact that it was ME with the bad news... well today, it felt surreal I was the one getting such fantastic news!! 
I go to check out and schedule my next appt when I see the dr wrote for me to have another appt in 2 weeks (standard is 4) and to include a sono. Well ... then comes the panic - why does he want to see me in 2 weeks not 4??? Is there a problem??? Why is he requesting a sono next time when they said I normally would just get them at the high risk??? The doctor saw me and explained he just sees I'm nervous and he did this to make ME feel better so I'd get all the extra reassurance I need...
.. and with that .. I left feel like the nutjob of the year When I started seeing my new OB I told myself I would wait till I deliver to belt out the crazy ... that being neurotic is a self fulfilling prophecy and if I show I'm laid back, maybe I can fool myself into being that way. Uhh yeah I think I sabotaged that plan today! 
Anyway, from this point on I'm determined to be like every other (not wacko) pregnant lady. Startinggggggg NOW!
p.s. I chugged the glucose drink in 30 seconds. World record maybe?  (A toast to this being the longest I've ever been pregnant!! Woohoo!!)

Who cares if the think you are crazy, yay to the dr to giving you another sono in 2 weeks. You got this girl. You will have a beautiful little boy in a couple of months.

So happy for you!!!! They should know better than to mess with a hormonal pregnant lady...I feel like we always get what we want once we turn on the waterworks! Im glad the doc is going to ease your mind with the extra sono's..
