weird virus I have? what is this? XPOST
For a week or so, I felt something was brewing.
Nothing came.
Until today.
I couldn't get out of bed until 4 PM.
-No vomiting/No diarreah
-Shivering, feeling extremely cold, chills
-Random moments of my face getting hot & clammy
-No energy (literally couldn't get out of bed)
-No appetite
-No aches or pains (so I guess not a flu)
I feel a bit better now, but wondering....this never happened to me before.

yes, 101. But it has gone down.
I feel like it's the flu but I don't have any aches or pains.
Will head to doc tomorrow if I feel crummy again tomorrow.
I guess I was just scared today because I literally could not get out of bed. Absolutely zero energy. Like I tried, but I just couldn't do it. That's never happened to me before. I'm moving around a bit now, just very slowly.

I had the same symptoms years ago (I was about 12). I remember they started the day I came home from Florida (I went with my bff). I had it for about 4-5 days. I was tested for mono but didn't have it. It was awful. Still don't know what it was but I had the same symptoms. To this day it was still the weirdest and worst sickness I had. I hope you feel better soon.

Doesn't sound like the flu yet. Could just be a viral illness. I would wait a few days before you head to the doctor. Take tylenol alternating with motrin like you do for the kids, drink plenty of fluids, rest. If yo get a cold and start having persistent green mucous, then you need an antibiotic, other than that, there is not much you can do except wait it out. This has been a bad winter for viruses. Lots of crazy stuff going around right now. Xoxo feel better

I had that and it was the swine flu *shrug* You dont NEED aches and pains, not everyone gets them.
Mine was a simple and slight case and I recovered just fine on my own with OTC in about a week.
See a doc.. why not, right?

My DH had the same symptoms for three days. He was shocked when he went to the doc and they diagnosed the flu. The meds they gave worked, but he was out of work the next three days.

When your doctors diagnosed you both with flu, did they actualy swab you and send it out for testing?

My doctor said that many people are getting the flu this year with "gentler" symptoms, especially fatigue.
I had those exact same symptoms a few years ago, and no one could figure it out. Finally, my doctor did blood work and it turns out that it was "Fifth Disease!" It manifests itself quite differently in adults than in kids. Either way, do press your doctor for some blood work.

thank u all so much for the responses!
I was better for a little last night and then got hit again with shakes and shivers. I felt like I was on my death bed.
I woke up today feeling much better, but now having tummy troubles. 
But I can't complain too much, as long as I'm alive, right?

I had almost the exact same thing on Tuesday of this week.
EXTREME fatigue, I could barely move, severe chills/shakes/cold. But I did have the aches and pains all over, and almost fainted at one point, had bad tunnel vision, clammy feeling and room spun.. All for one day. Then I felt better , although kinda like a slight headache, some residual fatigue but was moving around great yesterday. Now today I had some 'bathroom' issues.
SO SO weird. Same thing almost!
eta- and my cheeks got a red rash too.
