Weird things that happen after pregnancy
Does anyone have weird things that have happened after pregnancy?
Starting when I was a few weeks pregnant DH would find me sleeping on my back. I am a side/stomach sleeper and also knew when pregnant to try and sleep on left side.
This happened all through out the pregnancy, even though I carried small and could still sleep on side/stomach.
Now after 5mos pp I still wake on my back! I wake up and am like wth am I sleeping like this, it isn't comfortable at all! This happen to anyone else?

yes!! i am.. let me rephrase that.. i was a stomach sleeper. I still to this day.. 6+mos pp, and cannot sleep on my stomach comfortably- only on my side.. its crazy.

I still have to sleep with my pregnancy pillow between my legs, I can't stand if they knock together when I sleep and I feel like I need the support on my side. My youngest is almost 2

Hmmm. I didnt have that...
But my hair became thin for awhile... Hips wider and I think I have some slight joint issues in my knees.
My lower back will never ever be the same after the last epidural. Still doesn't feel right - 2 years later. I knew then that something wasn't right.
Wow. I sound old!

Not at the pp stage yet, but it is so funny that you posted this particular issue. I hated sleeping on my back, but for some reason it started becoming the only thing that was comfortable. I know you're not supposed to after a certain time, so I go to sleep every night on my side. But I wake up most mornings on my back.

My hair is shedding like crazy and feel so bad bc it keeps ending up wrapped around dd fingers, toes, neck.... Nothing I can do about it!

I have two things I've noticed.
1. I never feel cold anymore. I was always cold before I got pregnant. I attribute it to hormones still from bf.
2. My butt went away. I'm actually really upset haha. I used to have a pretty decent backside and now it's just something I sit on. Not sure where it went but I want it back!

Migraines :(
I always had occasional but now I have 3-4 during AF with migraines. They started the same month I stopped breastfeeding. AWFUL

Ok TMI but I can't use tampons anymore (it hurts and they don't sit right)
And the weirdest thing of all I got a really strong intolerance for metal on metal...can't turn keys in doorknobs, can't do silverware on china and I cringe when people in restaurants do it.

I'm 8 mth pp and last month i noticed a couple of patches of dry skin on my arms. So weird.
Oh and I'm still losing a ton of hair which is leading me to spend crazy amounts of $$ on new products on the regular in an attempt to thicken it.

8 months pp, I lost pretty much all my pregnancy weight - but almost none of my pre-preg pants fit me, and I just feel uncomfortable wearing tops i used to wear. Idk, i feel wider allover the place. I don't understand how I'm the same weight I was though! I used to ONLY be able to sleep on my belly and now i sleep on my side a lot as well. My back too will never be the same after the epidural - every now and then i feel a sharp pain right where the needle was.

I still sleep with my snoogle. I don't know how I lived before it! My twins are almost 26 months!!!!

3 months pp and my body is so different! My hips are much wider than they used to be...not sure if my pre-preg. jeans will ever fit again. My butt also got bigger. But that might just be all the pizza and bagels I ate while pregnant

The bones in my feet spread out. I forget the name for it. But because our ligaments loosen, the bones in my feet did as well. They kill me at the end of the day. I am actually getting measured for orthopedic insoles on Wednesday.

I started to get grey hairs more frequently.
I also have a sensitivity to MSG I didn't have before having DS (which bums me out because I LOVE Chinese take-out!).

The never feeling cold thing never went away for me. I was also always cold before. I used to buy so many sweaters & I'd wear turtlenecks underneath. Now I can't do that.
And even though I hardly gained weight during pregnancy my shoe size went up. I've now lost a lot of weight and I am well below my pre-pregnancy weight. My fingers have gotten so much smaller with the weight loss but my feet have not. They aren't swollen or puffy looking, just a bigger size.
I have more sun spots on my face, but that could have happened anyway.

Weird things that happen after pregnancy
1. I still feel nausea randomly!! Really weird considering that before pregnancy I never ever had nauseousness.
2. Hair loss- that sucked!! It finally stopped and started growing back in around 8 months pp. For a while I had bald spots!!!
3. Lighter and less painful AF- huge bonus
4. My boobs changed. I wouldn't say they sag that badly, but they shrunk.
5. This is a weird, but awesome thing- I feel like I'm in better shape now than before I was pregnant!!! Pregnancy and childbirth did something to me; I'm stronger physically than ever before. I ran my first half marathon after pregnancy and I just feel I'm more powerful during workouts. I really think that enduring childbirth helped my fitness level.
