It happened to me too. Anything that was made in my house I didn't want to touch. Probably because I could smell it being made.

Re: weird food aversion... what gives!
It is not a food aversion De, it is a cooking aversion!
Unfortunately, I have had this all my adult life-good for dieting. I just never want what I cook!

I have been the same way. Last night we had chinese (I had been fighting the urge for a few days now and finally gave in). I ate SO much of it and wasn't sick afterwards whereas I find I can hardly eat any of my dinner most nights.

I had the same problem this week-I can't stomach the thought of cooking and eating any of my food.
We ate out all week already which we never do. Last night I did make pasta and sauce and had to force it down.

Same thing here, although last night I was able to cook pasta. Also I haven't been able to finish everything on my plate lately, which is odd for me. The other night we made hamburgers and I told DH I couldn't cook...he had to and I wished I hadn't seen the raw meat because it grossed me out.

Re: weird food aversion... what gives!
happened to me too!!! Anything I cooked, I despised it in the first tri., now give me some wings from a restaurant and I was good to go.
My issue was the smells....for example...garlic....garlic sent me running to the garbage can....so I would then learn to hold my breathe when adding garlic into a recipe but then when I went to serve it....knowing that I had put garlic in it made me sick all over again...when you are at a restaurant...you don't know every little ingredient that goes into a meal...so that's why I'm always more then willing to eat out! haha
(damn, i can't type today)

This happens to me too!!! It is so weird. The thought of cooking even makes me sick. I have been promising DH home-made pizza for over a week now, but I can't bear to make it. However when we get take-out I can eat it and I am fine. The other night I cooked a super delicious pasta veggie meal I love, as I was eating it I had to force it down. Couldn't even finish. Glad I am not the only weirdo.

I have that problem but it mainly centers around meat...if I have to prepare it or see it raw..I have no desire to eat it at all..it actually makes me sick to my stomach...

same here....the thought of meat makes me so sick. The only real food we have cooked since being pregnant was turkey burgers. DH made them though. Other than that I feel like I have gone vegetarian!

DH has to prepare most things meat related and even Eggs...omg eggs are the worst for me...and cleaning anything the meat or eggs was prepared in makes me gag too...

Re: weird food aversion... what gives!
I actually didn't eat much at the begining of my pregnancy because I got soooo tired. Then mid way I would eat and feel super full fast. Now I will eat breakfast and lunch but dinner I want nothing with. If I buy something I will eat it...but by the time it's made at home. I just let the plate sit there.

Re: weird food aversion... what gives!
With my 1st pg I could not touch or make anything with raw meat. I swear the whole 1st tri I either made grilled cheese/mac and cheese or we ate out.
It would make me soooo nauseous looking at raw meat.

Re: weird food aversion... what gives!
I am stating to have the same problem. I dread cooking because I know its going to make me sick.
I force myself to eat but the whole time I am wishing it was something else.
I feel so bad for DH and DS I have been barely cooking the way I used to. We had breakfast for dinner the other night because I couldn't stand the idea of cooking and all DH knows how to make is eggs and pancakes lol.

Re: weird food aversion... what gives!
same thing happened to me. I think for me it was seeing the meat raw. I would cook the whole dinner and be straving and as soon as we sat down to eat i had the most horrible urge to throw up! It was terrible, i lived off pizza and bagels

Re: weird food aversion... what gives!
I've had the same problem since about week 6. I can't stomach eating anything that I cook, and it's probably because of the smell. the only thing I'm really eating that comes out of my kitchen is fruit!

I've been having the same thing. Even thinking about having to make dinner makes me dry heave. I'm hoping it passes soon....because I actually really like my cooking.

Oh Deanna this is just the beginning. When I was pregnant for the boys all I could eat was shrimp and vegetables...everything else made me sick to my stomach. Walking around the food store I would have to stop to be sick it was horrible.
This time around its a little better but I cant even stand looking at food...
