Weight Gain... I am freaking out
Okay, I am only 5 weeks, yet in the past week I have gained 5 lbs... not exaggerating either... I have not been eating that much more... I mean I've been more hungry, but I havent been splurging or anything... I feel bloated though...did this happen to anyone else? Now I am afraid to eat! I had carrots, a banana, some nuts... water... and a chicken salad sandwich... I'm freaking out.

Don't worry about it. Alot of it is bloat in the beginning. Just keep eating healthy and try to do moderate/light exercise and you should be fine!!
I've been on modified rest and I've put on 30lbs already and the doctor didn't seem concerned.

I had gained 4 pounds in the last month. My doctor did not seem concerned, so neither am I....it is fine, try not to worry

I know how you feel. I gained a lot of weight early -- 12 pounds in the first trimester, but I only put on 5 pounds in the second trimester. I'm putting on weight again in the third, but it is all evening out and I'm pretty sure I'll end up gaining about 30 pounds, which is just about where I wanted to be.
Are you starting out under-wieght? I wasn't under-weight, but my BMI was on the low side of normal, so I sometimes think that's why I put on some extra pounds in the beginning.  Who knows....

I gained about 5 the within the first 5 weeks as well...i was sooo bloated from the very first day..my jeans wouldn't button but fit the same everywhere else. Totally normal!! Don't worry too much, it'll even out! Your body is stretching, retaining water, blood voliume is doubling etc...and you're growing a lil' bean! :) I felt better around maybe 10 weeks (lost a lot of that awful bloated feeling).

i know how u feel. my buttons on my jeans and pants are getting hard to button. I am thin anyway but i notice that tummy is getting a little bigger.

Yes, I gained a lot of weight in the beginning of my pregnancy. The first trimester I was so bloated and I think that's where most of the weight came from.
