Weight gain dramatically slowed at 12 month appt... any experiences?
So dd has always been on the bigger side (75% for height and weight).. She always gained weight very easily. The first 6 months of her life I think she gained 2 pounds a month and after that I think she gained around a pound a month. Her last ped visit was at 10 months and she was 21lbs 1oz. To me she felt heavier so I was going in to her 12 month visit expecting the weight gain to be on par with other months... I was so taken aback when they said she was only 21lbs 11oz.. 10 oz in two months just seemed so out of the norm for her. I know they said the weight gain slows down as they get older and more mobile, but as I've posted before DD is a very picky eater and I'm wondering how much of the slowdown could be related to that. I'm all worried (even though doc said its totally fine, shes still btw 50th and 75th for both height and weight) . Anyone have any experiences with this to make me feel any better?
