weekend trip somewhere on LI
my boyfriend and I want to take a weekend trip...Friday night to Sunday. Preferably, somewhere close.
He suggested either Block island, Fire Island, Shelter island or Montauk.
Which would you think would be best? He's not a real 'sit on the beach' all day kind of guy. So, I'd like there to be good place to eat/drink, shopping, and some sort of activities to do during the day.

What about Geeenport? Very cute town, beaches nearby and tons of vineyards for wine tasting. Also, Claudio's is a really fun hangout spot.

We just came back from Shelter Island. Def a quiet get away type place. It was super quiet because it isn't season yet.

I heard the Greenporter is nice.
If you want something on the beach (or, the sound actually), the Southold Beach Motel. Heron Suites.
There are tons more in the area on Tripadvisor, tons of Bed and Breakfasts too.
