Wedensday Funny...

Last night DH and I were talking in the car driving home from the doctor. We started talking about labor and what the equivalent pain would be for a man.

DH said a passing a kidney stone would be that same as giving birth!
So I said "Are you kidding me????"" and he said "nope, at least you get to have drugs to numb that pain!" I could not believe what I was hearing. His reasoning was that the ratio of the canal the stone comes down is the same ratio (size to canal) as that of the birth canal and a baby. At this point I am LMAO. DH was like "why is this so funny? I am serious."

I told Dh he has A LOT to learn!

When I was 12 I got a kidney stone. I was lying on the floor in the ER in so much pain. The stone was so big, it mad me bleed for a few days (I had not gotten my period yet at this point), but I eventually passed it.

The nurse told me that now I know what the pain of childbirth feels like. So I told her to "Take my name off that list" lol My dad was laughing for days!!!

actually.. a man passing a kidney stone probably would be similar pain to labor.
NOT saying its the same.. but I have heard that its probably similar.
Shhhhhhhh we wont let him think it though!

I do think passing a stone for a guy is more painful, my husband does Cat Scans and he said he has seen grown men sobbing from the pain. I on the other hand had stones back in October when i was 33 weeks pregnant and people told me its more painful to pass a stone than to give birth. UMMMM... not so sure. For me they were both the most horrifying experiences of my life. Birth was due to my ahole Dr.
