Wedding question. WWYD

DH's cousin is getting married early August. It's a Sat night wedding starting at 8:30pm. We also had a late night wedding. We are Jewish so had it after sundown. Even though we are reform.
Anyway, original plan was my parents were going to watch the boys. They will be 13 months and 3yrs old. Both boys go to sleep early. They were invited, but I see no reason for LO's to go to a late night wedding.
Anyway, DH's aunt wanted to invite my parents. They've seen each other once in a while for family stuff or if we are at my house and they stop over they chat. I didn't think they needed to be invited, but whatever. It was nice even though they knew the plan was the boys were going to be at my parents.
Now my mil was thinking maybe the boys can come and my parents can take them home early. I'm thinking early would be after 11pm since it starts at 8:30 and we know it really never starts on time. Plus, I can't imagine dressing my boys after they start falling asleep since they go to bed early.
Wwyd
My sister is close, but they have 6 kids of their own.

My kids are the same age and I personally would not take the boys to an 8:30 wedding. That is way too late!

My kids start bedtime at 7-7:30 though. The 3yo would probably do ok but not my 14m old.

Yeah. I don't want to bring the boys. Too late and they'll be cranky. No fun for me either. Just now I don't know who to watch the boys since my parents were invited.
My mom had surgery so she may not even go. Just was gonna maybe go to be nice.

I think you should stick with the original plan and your parents should decline the invite.

You can't get a babysitter?

I would have someone else watch them or have your parents decline the invite. Unless they really want to go of course.

I wouldn't take my children to a late wedding.

My DD came to my sisters wedding which didn't end until after 11pm and she did surprisingly well. She was only 1 at the time. She was super tired after and passed out in the car but she actually had a blast at the wedding.

I would do this unless your parents really want to go.

ITA. I wouldn't bring them. If your parents want to go, I would try to find a babysitter.
