Websites other than MLSLI
When looking for a home which websites do you use (other than MLSLI)?

That's the best one. It's official. Some houses on other sites are not really up for sale or haven't been updated to say they have been sold or pulled from market.
You could look into exclusive listings that aren't on mls but in a realty .. But To search for them, you have to find companies and look there.

We used listingbook as my resource. I think I had more data, better layed out at my disposal.

Redfin- I personally found it more accurate and provided more info than mlsi. Ex: a few homes I knew were short sales MLS didnt list as short sales.

Re: Websites other than MLSLI
A lot of my buyers used to love Listingbook (it's free, but you need a real estate agent to sign you up), but Listingbook changed its format a couple of months ago and I know buyers have complained that it's not as user-friendly. But it does have an interactive component to it (buyers can mark favorites, leave notes for themselves or for their agent, reject properties, get daily emails with houses that meet their criteria and with status changes and open house info, etc.).
I would say the other most popular sites are Trulia, Zillow, and Redfin.
But keep in mind that the information on any website is somewhat limited and may be out of date, so I think, if you are a serious buyer who is ready to buy (versus a casual looker), it always helps to have an agent to help you and to answer questions about properties. We have access to a lot more information than the buyers can see on the consumer-oriented real estate sites.
I wrote a blog entry on this discussing this in more detail:

MLS only shows listings as short sales on the agent side
but MLS is by far the most accurate - I can spend hours checking emails I get from other websites and most of the properties are sold, or have never been on the market

me too
And listings come on sooner, even if hrs sooner, than on MLS. More info on Redin and faster. I hate MLS new site, btw. Hard to use.

I agree with this. When we were looking we used this site a lot. It also said when houses were pending faster then MLS

I agree. I loved MLS but the new format is terrible!
