We took Ava for her first "high tea" today!
My mom, my sister and I took Ava to Robinson's Tea Room in Stony Brook today for "high tea" (I'm probably spelling it wrong or something ). Anyway, she was SOOOOOOOOOOO good. I gave her a little sip of my decaf tea and she wore her cute little dress and sat like a polite little lady Unfortunately, I forgot my carmera, so these are post-tea

Well, I don't know what the REAL definition is, but I do know that when you go to Robinson's, it consists of your individual choice of tea (like a choice out of a gazillion kinds, I had French Vanilla Creme Brulee tea today), then they give you finger sandwiches, like cucumber sandwiches, little crackers with shrimp salad, salmon salad, tuna, scones with clotted cream and raspberry jam, then little deserts like tarts and cookies. All little handmade finger foods presented on a three-tiered serving dish. It's more the experience than anything

That sounds exactly like the high tea I had in London!
What a lovely idea....I can't wait until Lily is old enough now!!!
