OH my God - I actually received a "thank you" FM from LI Families telling me that these pics were the funniest things they have ever seen!!!

I don't know about funniest- I don't think anything beats the pics of Ron in the Speedo.

honestly - I have to provide a little education here, because you guys keep comparing us to the Davidians, and then talking about punch - so I think you guys are a little confused.... and being an educator, I cannot let you ladies compare us with the following tragedies, and not get your facts straight. trust me, next cocktail party, when you are impressing a group of people chatting it up about cults, you'll thank me...
Davidians - they were the ones in Waco. They burnt themselves in a compound at a standoff with the government, and all died.
Jonestown - a guy named Jim Jones was the cult leader in Ghana, I believe. They had a little commune called Jonestown, and one day had a kool aid party, and all died. I THINK you guys are trying to compare us to Jonestown, right?
Please don't ask us to simulate a pic of us burning. As much as we like to run with a joke, that would be a little hard to pull off successfully... especially with all that tulle...
ETA: My religion professor in college is gonna be so proud of me that I paid attention that day he was talking about cults!!!

I was just comparing to cults in general - hence the "I'm not drinking punch with you guys" comment
Jonestown was cult where they did a mass suicide (like the picture).
For the Branch Davidians - not only would you have to burn down the fortress, but you'd have to wear sneakers that wouldn't have matched your dresses.

OK, so you guys took time out of the wedding to stage something just for us...I guess we should be flattered, but I am kinda sad for you that you spent precious minutes of a wedding reception to "show us"...
besides the fact that the only time my wedding dress laid on the floor was after hours when we were back in our suite

No one ever makes jokes with each other - ever - if they do, its subject to:
- the scrutinizing of a bunch of disgruntled house wives who have lost sight of whats funny, are probably disappointed that their husbands aren't what they planned they would be, and are lugging around the extra 20-25 pounds they gained back after the wedding, or pregnancy weight they can't seem to shed. So instead they come on here and rip on everyone and anyone who just wanted to come on and share a few laughs with some other like-minded people, just so that they can feel a wee bit better about themselves. Sad.
- a bunch of people who feel if they aren't in the joke, or they just don't get it, then it may as well not be mentioned or brought up - MIND you - on an entirely seperate website. You ladies were talking about it, I brought it up, and figured I'd include you if you wanted to be included on the stupid joke. Guess I was wrong. You guys just wanted to talk crap and berate people based on your assumptions - and when someone came along and good naturedly shined a light on what you were doing, you guys got all huffy and bent out of shape.
Sorry to get snippy- some of you ladies were nice and FMd me privately that they thought I was funny - but were afraid to share that on here because they didn't want to fall victim to some of the ladies' scrutiny. For some reason, your approval matters. Why anyone would want to be on a website where they can't share their feelings openly but have to sneak their feelings to someone else thru an FM will never make any sense to me.
I just wanted to make some friends as I had on LIW, share some feelings, get some comfort for having family problems, and hopefully get some advice on TTC and pregnancy.
I'm afraid that if I ever came on here again to share fears or frustration revolving being a step mom, TTC, and having a healthy pregnancy, you all will rip on me for no other reason other than coming on here and refusing to get offended by you people.
I came on here because I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt because people were saying some of you were catty and b!tchy.
I said to myself (and yes - this was when I WAS thinking about LIF) that no one could ever be that bad - that we are all on here for the same reasons, and figured I'd break the ice and be funny...
I feel sorry for you ladies...
Now go ahead and buzz about the drama I started. I know we do the same thing. FM each other and say, "whats that about?" and "See - I knew she was nuts."
I really don't care....
but ladies, please be nice to other people. I know some of you have babies in your avatar. I shudder to think at some of the lessons you might be teaching them.

I was ignoring this cause I thought it was stupid. BUT with the above comment I have to say you just showed everyone your TRUE COLORS!
This is the freakin Internet!
If someone honestly gets "hurt" by things people say ON THE INTERNET then ummm... I hate to think what they might be in "real life"
We were sharing a few laughs here. Laughs that you laid on the floor in your wedding dress to take a picture with other people around you
I for one am not a housewife. I am not disgruntled and I am 30 pounds less then I was at my wedding.
I always love it when people say the famous "I got a fm from people saying how they agreed but were scared to post it" to that I say GROW A SET! Do you not stick up for yourself in "real life"?
