We are in motion!!! **UPDATE**
My Cycle has began! AF arrived late afternoon and is picking up speed. Going in tomorrow to Rsofny to start my monitoring! They will bedoing Blood, Sono and checking my lining. All that good stuff. I will also get direction on how much Follistim I am supposed to be injecting which starts tomorrow night! AHHH!!! Deep Breathes!!! Let's hope this is my month!!
**Update 10/4/12**
I had my first round of testing this morning. They drew some blood to check some gentic stuff, HIV,..etc. If there was a problem I would here back today. I got no phones so all is good. I then had a Sono done. I have no cyst anywhere. So I am very happy about that! I saw Dr. Stelling afterwards. Very nice DR. And he explained my protocol that Dr. Halfen has me on. I start the Follistim tonight. They have me dialing up at 100 tonight. Have to take it for 8 days between 5pm-9pm. We also talked about DH's SA. He has some abnormal looking sperm which makes me concerned but Dr. Stelling said this doesn't mean we can't pregnant at all! We are going forward with the IUI this cycle. I would most likely do back to back as well. I have an Appt in Stonybrook on Sat to check blood and have a sono. I will then meet with Dr. Stelling again. DH is coming along because he wants to meet him and discuss his SA with him. Just incase I missed anything! Dr. Stelling also told me that being in my age group I have a 35-40% of having twins or triplets! Twins runs in my dad's side of the family so anything is possible. Looks like I could be having an Insemination by next weekend or the begining of the week 10/15!
Exciting stuff!!!! Feel very overwhelmed today!!!

once you do fertility treatments, esp. injectable IUI, you are always at a much higher risk for multiples regardless of your family history.
did they tell you what was abnormal about his SA? some problems are more easily correctable than others. it completely depends on how off the numbers were and in what way.

Took my first Follistim shot last night! I was stresing over it and it was nothing!! Didn't even feel the needle go in! No pinch..nothing!! I can do this!!! Can't believe I was so scared over this!!!

wow, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? At 25, I was told when I triggered with 5-6 follies that I only had a 2% chance of triplets!

I'm 35 years old..it's by age group. If I was in my early to mid 20's it wouldn't of been such a high percentage on twins! Everyone keeps telling me I am gonna have twins!!! It sure will be nice if it takes this month! Keeping my fingers crossed that things work out for me before the year is out!!

I am wondering this too. Naturally as women age it is more likely to conceive twins, but with IF treatments the increased age shouldn't factor in.
Either way, good luck!!!! Hope it takes this month!!!
