 | Way Way WAY TMI question for mommies who had a vaginal birth Did any of you find that things down there, inside your vag, were "out of place" so to speak?
I'm only one month post-partum so I guess maybe it's too soon to expect that things would be normal... but I literally feel like my anatomy has changed.

 | Re: Way Way WAY TMI question for mommies who had a vaginal birth I was so weird for a while. It was swollen for weeks. Like when the 8 week mark hit, I still wan't ready. It takes time. |

 | Re: Way Way WAY TMI question for mommies who had a vaginal birth it was very weird afterwards. It's still swollen too, even though not as BADLY when you first give birth but it's still swollen for some time.
I also found that tampons, er, didn't fit like they use too for a few months
  TMI! |

 | Re: Way Way WAY TMI question for mommies who had a vaginal birth It takes a long time to feel normal again. Things did change long term a bit, skin hangs a bit lower ect but nothing significant has changed. |

 | Re: Way Way WAY TMI question for mommies who had a vaginal birth I'm still very sore, but I was stitched up pretty good. I'm still scared to really poke around down there, but I feel like its healing really well, considering the trauma that the delivery did to me. |

LOL- forever I shall be the LIFer with the broken junk......

I was going to fm, but figure this info might be helpful to others.

After the birth of my first DD I noticed that things didn't feel or look "right". Basically it felt like the top wall of my vagina had fallen.

My OB said what I had was "normal" when I went to my 6w PP appointment. She said it would get better, especially with kegels. It didn't.

Turns out the muscles holding my uterus and bladder up were so weakened by either pregnancy and/or the birth process that everything has essentially fallen.

Right now, it's been more of an inconvenience than anything else. I have some light incontinence and it "feels" uncomfortable at times, although during pregnancy it's actually BETTER because the uterus grows up and out, which relieves some of the pressure. It sucked in that I was totally unable to use tampons once AF returned.

After this baby is born I'll be seeing a surgeon who will basically sew everything back into place. It's outpatient and not serious at all, but couldn't be done until I was done having babies.

OK- how many soon to be moms have I completely freaked out?

Not freaked out... but that's similar to what I feel like
The front wall has fallen and is blocking the "entrance."
I don't even want to think about sex right now...

Plus I don't know if I am done having kids. So I might have this for a few years until we decide?

Ugh... I can't wait to see my OB next week.
