Way TMI - mucous plug!
I am 39w1d today, and I just lost at least part of my mucous plug. At my last doctor's appointment, a week ago, there was no progress, so I'm kind of excited. I guess that means that something is at least starting to go on down there, right? Is this the same as "bloody show?" It was light brownish in color.
For those who have BTDT, how far after losing your mucous plug did you go into labor? I know there's a huge range from days to weeks.

I am a bundle of emotions. My father passed away last week, and I spent the entire week on Staten Island at my mother's house. I returned to work today. We have a ton of stuff to do before the baby comes, so I'm a bit overwhelmed, and would like to have the weekend to get things done. I am excited though, and a little nervous, but more excited than anything else. The baby will be such a great distraction for my family after this past week.

I remember your post from last week.  You're right, this will be a great distraction and your father will be with you the whole time. That's a very comforting thought.

My water broke at the same time I lost my mucus plug. So it was just a matter of hours for me! Whatever the case, you are VERY close!!

Not to be a downer, but for me, both times i lost my mucous plug at about 38 weeks and still never went into labor by myself and went past my due date.

I had an internal on a Thursday and started losing mine the next day- in small pieces.
I went into labor that Tuesday and had her the same day.

Losign your mucous plug does not really mean labor s coming since it can regenerate.
Some poeple will go into labor soon while others will still wait weeks or months (if it is still early)

I am try sure that I lost mine around 3am and my water broke at 4:45am

I lost mine in pieces, right around Thanksgiving. Went into labor the following Monday.
Bloody show is different; that's actual blood mixed with other kinds of baby goo. I didn't see that until I was in labor.

I don't remember ever losing my mucus plug.
Every time I had bloody show, I was in labor...this is actual red blood mixed with mucus.

I lost mine in huge chunks while in labor over the first 3 hours or so. When I saw blood in it, I went to the hospital and was 5 cm. Every contraction, I had to run to the bathroom to pee and HUGE chunks came out. When I was at the hospital, I showed the nurse the bloody snot goop during a contraction and she said it was my mp and bs. I was only in labor for 6.5 hours before DD was born.
Good luck to you!!! The blood stuff scared me so much because a coworker's wife had been telling me two weeks earlier about how she hemorrhaged severely while in labor so I went to the hospital as soon as I saw it. Thankfully, nothing out of the ordinary happened to me!

Lost mine in pieces, about 2 weeks before my due date, needless to say i had to be induced 5 days after my due date.

I lost my plus on a fri and went into full blown labor on sun. So 2 days! Good luck. Hope it isn't that much longer for ya!

With my first I went to the doctor on a Monday morning and later that afternoon I lost my plug. Contractions began overnight that night. By 10:30pm Tuesday I was in the hospital and 4:30am DD was born.
With my second woke up around 7am on a Tuesday and went I went to the bathroom I noticed when I wiped (tmi I know). Contractions began within minutes. I had a ob appointment anyway so when I got there around 8:30am I felt I had to lay down. They sent me straight to the hospital. I was checked within minutes around 9am and was 5cm dialated. DD was born at 3:30pm.
Sounds like your dd or ds is coming SOON!!!
