Washer not working
It's a Kenmore. Should I call Sears or is there someone you would recommend?
The washer is not emptying. I haven't really done troubleshooting.

Re: Washer not working
Try a bit of troubleshooting first...
Assuming machine has been working fine up 'till now...most likely causes are foreign object in pump, pump failed, or filter totally clogged...

Re: Washer not working
I did troubleshoot a bit and I do think it's either clogged or needs a new pump. It makes no noise and the washer is not trying to drain. It does nothing. Leads me to believe the pump is done. A clog would produce some noise. It's got power since it washes and wanter flows in.
Sears wants $75 for the call plus parts and labor if necessary.
I can't see myself pulling that sucker away from the wall, taking the back off and taking apart hoses.
The washer is 10 years old.

Re: Washer not working
Check to see if the lid switch/sensor is working. Thats what was wrong with mine when it wasnt draining. DH fixed it himself.
