I was so so sure I was pregnant. I still haven’t gotten my period and am 9 days late. I called doctor who gave me a blood test and said I am not pregnant and if I don’t get it in 1 more week to come back in. its amazing the symptoms your mind can invent when you want something. I am totally sad that I am not pregnant but even more now my cycle which was always perfect seems totally out of wack and I have no idea when to try again and I am really confused/ sad etc. I just bought ovulation tests from saveonetests.com b.c ypou can get a lot from them inexpensively and I think I need to test more than just 5 days per month as I don’t know when to try. Has anyone else gone thru this? I have no idea why all of a sudden my period which came reliably every month for 17 years has decided not to come at the exact same time I decide I want a baby. I believe the test but I don’t know where to go from here.

that happened to me, too...last month. I was willing to bet MONEY that I'd get a BFP.

I have had the same thing happen to me. I am a 28 day cycle person on and off BC. As soon as i started TTC
my cycles run up to 33 days. I am sorry that your going through this.

This was my exact scenario last month. AF was 9 days late and I was betting my family members that I was PG. As it turned out I O'd very late last month (on day 23) and based on that fact AF was actually right on time. Now I know for the future that a late O means a late AF.

IMO, this is one of the hardest things about TTC! You can have your cycle down to a perfect science, but as soon as you add the "pressure" of TTC, you can throw yourself totally off with stress and worrying.

Thanks everyone. Your support is really helpful. Basically in april I had a “normal” period then may I had a longer lighter period in may. 1 day earlier than expected. Now I am still period free and called the dr office. They said that my blood work was OK ( I thought they just tested for pregnancy but they also tested for abnormalities). I am due for my annual so I thought I can come in and talk to the dr about this too. They cant give me an annual exam for 1 month. They said I should get my period any day and not to be concerned now. This may be considered a little gross- but I have put some toilet paper on my finger inside to see if my period was on its way. It seems to be but it still hasn’t surfaced. Im going a little crazy here thinking ridiculous things. It does help to know im not totally alone in this and that my blood is normal whatever that means. Its just odd I have been recording my cycle for 6 months and it never carried more than 2 days and now its 10 days and counting. Growing up all I heard was how easy it is to get preg. Is anyone familiar with the movie never been kissed? Its one of my favorite movies. Anyway there is a point when drew Barrymore is undercover as a HS student in gym and struggling. The coach was like if you don’t pass gym you wont get into college. She was like you are still telling that lie? Its funny and reminds me of health class and my mom and my best friends mom telling us how easy it is to get preg. Not really true huh….

I had this problem last month too. I think it is stress. This month I started to do things for me, to just relax me- I had my nails done, a pedicure, a massage on another day, started to get involved more with some hobbies, it helped, I ovulated normally, and relaxed. I know it is easier said then done.
