was just curious
If I use a OPK this month and I find out what day I ovulate, will it typically be the same day next month.
Like, do most women ovulate on the same day every month? I bought 1 OPK but I dont think we are really trying until next month. I wanted to maybe use the OPK this month, almost like a practice and was just wondering if I will need to do it again next mont or if my results from this month would just carry over to next month.
TIA

If you O on Day 15 this cycle, you'll probably O the same day next month... unless something in your life throws it off. Stress, travel, and illness and affect when you O. eta: If you're using OPKs, you might want to use them next month just to check for consistency.

If your cycle is very regular and you don't have any outside influences like stress, you will probably ovulate around the same day. I skipped the OPKs for a while b/c I was very regular and could track ovulation by using CM too. However, I found it a little frustrating not knowing the exact day I ovulated and how many DPO i was.

Barring any outside stressors or abnormalities, you will O AROUND the same day if you have a regular cycle. Have you been off BC for a while? Do you know what your normal cycle length is?
You can always try to cross check your O date this month with the OPK tests and also your CM. That way next month if you observe your CM, you will have a better idea as to when you will be Oing.

Re: was just curious
Hmmm...if you're just starting out and REALLY want to do the OPKs now, I think you may want to use them for a couple of months at least. You have no idea what's going on with your body. I've gotten the + OPKs on days 14, 15 and 17 on different months and my cycle is a "typical" 27-30 days overall. However, my real advice would be to wing it for a couple of months before you start driving yourself crazy with the pressure!
